Helping Underprivileged Children and Young Adults

East Marsh United, Community Skills Project – Grimsby

Over the past 16 weeks, Expert Renovations has been supporting young people in the Grimsby area through a practical community skills programme in partnership with East Marsh United. The project has focused on helping children and young people develop valuable life skills, teamwork, self-discipline, and character through hands-on outdoor projects.

Participants have taken part in a range of practical activities including building fences, creating garden games, concreting, hedge cutting, planting flowers, and constructing wooden planters. These activities have not only helped improve local outdoor spaces, but have also given the young people an opportunity to learn practical skills in a supportive team environment.

The programme has aimed to build confidence, encourage responsibility, and support positive personal development through meaningful work and collaboration. By taking part in projects that benefit the community, the children have been able to gain a sense of achievement, pride, and experience in working together towards shared goals.
